The last Classics of the Silver Screen presentation was held at the Cygnet Theatre in late 2021 prior to the introduction of COVID restrictions. Pictures in Motion is holding a fund-raising screening of “The Court Jester” on Thursday February 9th at the Kookaburra Outdoor Cinema , Allen Road Mundaring at 7.45pm.
This 1956 Paramount film stars Danny Kaye, Glynis Johns, Angela Lansbury and Basil Rathbone. Comedian Danny Kaye was never better than in his role as the court jester who is assigned to protect the infant royal heir from a tyrannical King.
The Court Jester is a high energy musical spoof and will be presented in traditional cinema format with a newsreel, featurette, cartoon, and interval before the main film.
