Paul Rigby(1924-2006) was an Australian cartoonist who started work at the Perth Daily News in 1952. These cartoons show the coverage of the commotion on the track at September 1962 British Commonwealth and Empire games in Perth.

Above; the photo of the second outside broadcast van, which was a one camera van use for the Games with a single loaned RCA camera and microwave link connections to cover the other venues such as cycling at the velodrome, bowls and other sports.
This is the main stadium under construction and John is standing there , looking out to Bald Hill as part of the microwave surveys that we did to determine how to get the pictures back from the van to the studio.
