Designed and produced a special opening program of Colour TV 1975, How Colour TV Works, and what to expect for the future, Sir Charles Court swings a big switch to open at midnight. I produce and arrange 7 fireworks displays in various suburbs of Perth to started off at midnight. And our engineers remover the blocks to make colour able to be transmitted for the first time.

Moved to special warehouse Premises at Malaga for the building of special sets for Miss Universe stage at the PEC. We also housed and constructed many new Christmas floats. We also constructed all the 5000 audience seating stages, which were designed for traveling to other locations in Australia and overseas. We remained there for over a year before the quest.

Planed with Tourist Department officers the use of special F28 aircraft to carrying production and excuitives to OB locations throughout the state. Including proposed North West locations.

Some Special Event promotions that didn’t eventuate

Other Telethon events that didn’t get a start were, The Great Lawnmower Race and the Telethon Hay Stack Challenge. All of these events were well into the ideas or planning stages, but for various reasons were not proceed with.

Interesting to note that Vern Reid who worked with me on some special events. He eventually designed the symbols for the the new Dockers football team at Fremantle. He arranged their opening at Subiaco Oval including their song and the big anchor float and flags the purple colours.
